Artist in Residence Awagami Factory Japan
After working on the Tengucho paper from the Awagami Factory for a long time in Amsterdam, I finally had the amazing opportunity to try out washi papermaking for myself. Below an impression in images from my stay in the small town Awa Yamakawa, Shikoko, Japan at the end of 2025.
I feel really lucky and thankful to the Awagami factory and it's people for having me and for the generous support of Gerbrandy Foundation and PPO. I would love to go back to Japan some day.
